Sleipner (Engbo) brass stop ring for the Midi anchor windlass's auto-stop function. The auto-stop automatically halts the anchor chain at the right point during retrieval, preventing the anchor from banging against the windlass or bow — the brass ring is the wear part behind this function and should be replaced periodically before the auto-stop starts failing. Sleipner/Engbo Maxi and Midi windlasses are common on Finnish motor and sailboats where deck space is tight and a reliable auto-stop matters.
