The power-to-weight ratio of the Suzuki DF140 model is better than that of any other mass-produced four-stroke outboard engine in the same power class.
The engine has two camshafts and four valves per cylinder, a water-cooled intake manifold and feed system, an oil cooling system with a heat exchanger, an air-cooled 40A alternator, and a wider air intake to maximize engine power.
Digital Multipoint fuel injection always ensures the best possible fuel-air mixture for economy and efficiency. The 4-2-1 exhaust system, developed with experience gained from vehicles, ensures maximum engine performance. The Safety Control system prevents the engine from repeating the start-up cycle while the engine is running. Like our other engines, the DF140 is also designed with comfort and the environment in mind. The engine's noise level has been minimised and vibrations reduced. The engine has been designed in accordance with global environmental standards. Thanks to this advanced technology, the Suzuki DF140 has been selected as the engine for the auxiliary boats for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic regatta.
