This lithium battery pack is intended for the boater who wants to upgrade their boat's consumer battery system to a modern, lighter and more efficiently charging lithium system. The pack is especially suitable for boats that use 12 V consumer devices and where the battery needs to be charged both while the engine is running and from shore power in port.

The lithium battery offers better usable capacity, lighter construction and longer service life compared to a traditional lead-acid battery. The included DC/DC charger ensures safe charging of the battery from the engine charging system, and the Victron Blue Smart shore power charger allows charging the battery in port from mains power. Fuses, main switch, connection bars and battery cables make the system clearer, safer and easier to maintain.

The package is a good choice for, for example, a cabin boat, excursion boat, fishing boat or a motorboat, where a more reliable power supply is required for a refrigerator, lights, electronics, water pump and other 12 V consumer devices. It is suitable for the user who wants the key components for installing a lithium battery at once and does not want to assemble the system from individual parts.

Please note that the installation should be done taking into account the boat's existing electrical system, cable lengths and loads. The chargers should be configured with charging settings suitable for the lithium battery. A Victron SmartShunt battery monitor is recommended for monitoring the battery's charge status, as the charge status of a lithium battery cannot be reliably assessed based on voltage alone.

Offers a lighter structure, better efficiency and longer service life compared to a traditional lead-acid battery. In addition, a lithium battery is more resistant to deeper discharges and charges efficiently with the right charger.

Victron Energy DC/DC charger 30 A 12 V, 70839 DC/DC charger
Takes care of charging the lithium battery while the boat's engine is running. It takes power from the starter battery and charges the lithium battery, which acts as a consumer battery, in a controlled and safe manner. This product is included in the system because it is not recommended to connect a lithium battery directly to the engine charger without appropriate charging control. The DC/DC charger protects both the engine charging system and the lithium battery and ensures the correct charging voltage and charging current.

Victron Blue Smart IP22 12 V 30 A battery charger, 1 output, 70824
The shore power charger charges the lithium battery when the boat is connected to shore power, for example in a harbor. The charger converts the mains current into a suitable charging current for the battery and ensures that the battery is charged correctly. This product is included in the system so that the battery can be fully charged even without using the engine. The Victron Blue Smart charger can be monitored and adjusted via Bluetooth, making it easier to manage the battery charge. (Note: The charger must be configured to charge with the lithium profile).

The main fuse protects the battery cables and the entire system from possible short circuits or excessive currents. The fuse is installed near the battery on the positive cable, breaking the circuit in the event of a fault before the cables or devices can be damaged. The fuse holder is required so that the Mega fuse can be installed safely and neatly in the system.

Pro Supply automatic fuse 40 A, 38221 (2 pcs)
The package includes two 40 A automatic fuses, one of which is installed between the engine charging system and the DC/DC charger and the other between the shore power charger and the battery. The function of the fuses is to protect the charging cables, chargers and other electrical systems in overload and short circuit situations by cutting off the power if necessary. The advantage of the automatic fuse is that it can be restored to service without replacing the fuse after a possible fault situation.

The main power switch can be used to disconnect the power between the battery and the boat's 12V system. It allows you to easily turn off the boat's electrical system.

Pro Supply connection rail 152 x 32 mm, 71022 x 2, plus and minus rail
The connection rails act as the system's distribution points. The positive current from the battery is brought to the positive rail and can be used to distribute power to different devices or chargers. The negative cables of the system are collected on the negative rail. The connection rails make the installation cleaner, safer and easier to maintain. Without the connection rails, several cables would have to be connected directly to the battery terminals, which is not recommended.

SmartShunt acts as a battery monitor that allows you to monitor the charge status, consumption, charging and remaining capacity of a lithium battery. It is installed on the negative side of the battery between the battery and the boat's 12 V system. SmartShunt is a recommended accessory because the charge status of a lithium battery cannot be reliably assessed based on voltage alone in the same way as with traditional batteries. With SmartShunt, the user can easily see the battery status from the VictronConnect app. In addition, SmartShunt can be used to monitor the starter battery voltage.
