Polymarine Flexithane 500ml black – Restoration paint for Hypalon and rubber fabric.

Polymarine Flexithane is a high-quality paint specifically developed for the restoration and refinishing of inflatable boats made of Hypalon, PU-coated fabric and other rubber-based materials. The paint combines extreme flexibility with very good adhesion and durability, making it ideal for both aesthetic refinishing and long-term protection.

Flexithane is highly elastic and stretchable, and will not crack or flake, even on live, pressurized and UV-exposed surfaces. Thanks to its high coverage, one coat is usually sufficient for perfect color reproduction, while a second coat provides a smoother satin finish and increased durability.

The paint is supplied ready to use and does not require thinning – shake or stir it thoroughly before application. It dries quickly and is touch dry after approximately 5 minutes at 20°C, making the job both smooth and efficient.

Flexithane is not only used for the renovation of Hypalon boats and RIBs, but also for resealing and protecting railings and profiles that are otherwise at risk of chalking or powdering over time.

A 500 ml can is usually enough for two areas of approximately 4–5 m².

For best results, the surface should be cleaned and primed with Polymarine Flexithane thinner before painting. Spray painting is possible in professional use using appropriate protective equipment and Polymarine Flexithane thinner.

Use:

Gelcoat GS

Gelcoat GS is a pigmented special polyester that is pre-accelerated and thixotropic. The product is intended for mold use and is also suitable as a topcoat when a wax solution is added.

Gelcoat is applied by hand and forms a smooth and durable surface. By adding a wax solution, the product can be used as a topcoat for a finishing surface.

Isopolyester Crystic 489PA is a pre-accelerated and thixotropic isophthalic acid-based polyester, developed specifically for boatbuilding and demanding marine applications. The product has very good properties for preventing so-called bubble disease, which improves the quality and durability of the laminate in the long term.

Polyester has a fast wetting ability of glass fiber and a controlled gel time, making it well suited for normal production. Crystic 489PA is primarily intended for hand lamination, but can also be used in certain spray equipment.

Ortho Standard Polyester Crystic is a pre-accelerated and thixotropic orthophthalic acid-based polyester, specifically developed for boatbuilding, laminate production and fiberglass repairs. The product has low styrene emissions, making it more environmentally friendly and safer to handle compared to traditional polyester resins.

Polyester provides rapid wetting of the glass fiber and uniform cure, which makes it easier to work with and improves the strength and durability of the final laminate. The low exothermic reaction reduces the risk of overheating in thick and multi-layer laminates.
