In the Fuel Fittings product group you will find Suzuki compatible fuel fittings and hose connectors: 13mm fuel hose connector, engine side and tank side fuel connector, large female piece for tank connector with 1/4 thread, and 6.6mm hose connector for DF4-DF140 range.
The fuel connector connects the removable fuel tank hose to the engine with a quick-connect, tool-free connection — this is especially important on boats with removable fuel tanks, where the tank is removed and reattached regularly, for example when filling or winter storage. A worn or leaking connector is a common cause of fuel odor or leakage in the engine compartment.
The connectors are designed in pairs: the engine-side and tank-side parts together form a tight, quick-release connection — these parts must be compatible with each other, and connectors from different manufacturers should not be mixed together due to the risk of leakage. Always check the hose diameter (13mm or 6.6mm) before ordering, as the wrong size will not fit the hose tightly.
Replace a worn or hard, cracked connector as soon as you notice the problem — fuel leakage is always a safety risk, and it's easy to check the tightness of the connector visually and by gently pressing the connector during use. Always carry a spare connector with you on longer trips, as the part is small and inexpensive, but missing it can stop the entire trip.
Lightly lubricate the O-ring or gasket on the connector before installation to ensure a tight fit and to prevent damage to the ring during installation. Regularly visually check the connector for fuel odor, as a small leak may be difficult to detect by sight alone until the odor reveals the problem.
Keep a few spare connectors in your boat's toolbox, especially if you use a removable fuel tank regularly — a small, inexpensive part can save the day if the original connector wears out or is unexpectedly damaged.
Check the compatibility of the fittings with the entire fuel system before ordering, especially if you are also replacing the fuel tank or hose at the same time — incompatible parts can cause leaks at the connections.
Compare the material of the fittings according to the operating environment — brass and stainless steel are best suited to continuous fuel exposure and salt water.
Tighten the connector to the appropriate torque, as tightening it too tightly can damage the threads or the plastic structure in the connection.
Ask for advice on choosing the right fittings if your fuel system hose size deviates from standard dimensions.
Compare the package size of the connectors if you need several connectors for the same maintenance session at once.
