BEMA

Includes a classified chrome-plated lock chain with running ring and cover. Bema Titan padlock. The chain is treated with 20 micron corrosion protection. Product certified by SBSC (Svensk Brand & Säkerhetscertifiering AB). Class 3 for locking boats over 200 kg.

BEMA's lock chain is a high-quality product that meets the highest quality standards on the market. Its material and construction have been carefully selected to provide the best possible protection against theft. The chain has a hard surface and a tough core, which together give it the highest strength on the market.

The ring on the chain allows for efficient use of the length and quick attachment around a fixed object. Both the chain and the boat have a textile cover. The octagonal or square profile of the chain and the small ring make it difficult for thieves to use various tools. BEMA has innovated by using special materials and special hardening methods to make it an easy-to-use and very affordable chain. Despite its affordable price, it meets the requirements of locking class 3 very well. The chain is also easy to handle, making it suitable for those who need to move the chain to different mooring points regularly.

Locking the boat:
To deter theft, it is important to take appropriate security measures for your boat and its equipment. If your boat weighs less than 200 kg, it must be locked with an approved chain and a lock of at least class 2. Boats weighing more than 200 kg must be locked with an approved chain and a lock of at least class 3. The bow of the boat must be of the same class as the chain and lock.

The outboard motor must be locked with either an approved boat engine lock or a Class 3 lock and chain. Secure the boat to a fixed object, such as a dock or similar. For this purpose, you can, for example, wrap the chain around the dock and lock it to the bow. However, it is important not to lock the boat to a lightly removable dock ring or similar that can be easily broken.

If or when the boat is on a boat trailer, both the boat and engine must be locked, and the trailer must be locked with a certified towbar lock or a Class 3 lock and chain.

Locking bolt for outboard motors, made of hardened steel. Meets the requirements of insurance companies. The lock is easy to install because it replaces the existing nut on an already installed engine bolt. Recommended and certified product by SBSC (Svensk Brand & Säkerhetscertifiering AB).

If the existing bolt is too short or if there is no bolt, approved bolts can be used. See part number 39055-58.
