Digital voltage detection relay.

A digital relay allows a second battery bank to be charged from each individual charging source. When the voltage of the battery being charged has risen sufficiently, the DVSR switches the relay so that battery bank #2 is charged instead. When charging stops and the voltage drops, the relay automatically isolates the battery banks so that the starter battery always remains fully charged.

Main switch package for one engine and two battery banks.

The system ensures that there is always a fully charged backup battery. When the switch is in position 1, battery 1 acts as a sensing battery for the VSR relay. Battery 2, which is isolated, is charged via the relay when the engine is running and thus always remains fully charged. When the switch is in position 2, battery 2 acts as a sensing battery and battery 1 is charged via the relay when the engine is running.
