In the Bulbs department you will find boat lighting bulbs for all the most common base types: incandescent bulbs, LED card bulbs, LED bayonet bulbs , LED shuttle bulbs, bulb adapters, LED sealed-bulb bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
The choice of bulb depends on the lamp base type and voltage – boats most commonly use 12 or 24 volts, and the wrong voltage will burn the bulb out immediately or leave it dim. LED bulbs consume significantly less power and last longer than traditional filament bulbs, which is especially important in battery-powered systems on long journeys without the possibility of recharging. Check the base type of your lamp carefully before ordering and read the sub-sections to find the right bulb model.
As LED bulbs become more common, bulb adapters have also become increasingly important, as they allow a newer LED bulb to be installed in an old filament bulb without replacing the entire luminaire.
