De-icers

0.75 hp ice preventer that keeps the water ice-free all winter. The De-Icer is placed under the boat or dock near the bottom. The propeller pumps warmer groundwater upwards to prevent the surface from freezing. The motor housing is made of stainless steel, and the propeller is made of impact-resistant plastic. Supplied with a 10 m power cable and 2 pcs of mounting wires. When installed vertically, it can keep the water open within a radius of 24 m. Weight 18kg. Current consumption 3.4A.

The de-icer must be installed with a grounding switch and as a fixed installation without a plug.

D-ICER VAKE Plus <16 m

VAKE is designed for boats up to 16 meters (approximately 15 m waterline) for winter storage or to protect docks with great reliability.

There is no machinery or electricity underwater, which ensures a high level of safety .

The device has two independent 80 W air pumps , designed for year-round use.

The supplied air hoses are hung under the boat. The rapidly rising air bubbles create an upward current that lifts warmer water to the surface and keeps the area thawed.

Keeping it thawed using an air compressor is an old and proven method , used every winter by, among others, the Swedish Defence Forces .

VAKE V-12 Plus – application area

The VAKE model V-12 Plus is suitable for boats up to 16 meters (approximately 15 m waterline). The VAKE can also be used to keep a pier or other sensitive structure frozen . In this case, the area that remains frozen is slightly smaller than around the boat.

• The perimeter of the pier must not exceed 30 m , preferably shorter.

• It is an advantage if the hose can be wrapped once around sensitive structures such as piles

• The water depth must be at least 1–2 meters for the warm water circulation to work effectively.

VAKE air compressors are of high quality and designed for continuous use all year round . The housing and frame are made of aluminum to ensure the longest possible service life. The pumps are IPX4 rated , meaning they are suitable for outdoor use under a canopy.

Tip: The pumps can be stored inside the boat, so the extra energy they produce ( total 160 W ) can be used to heat the boat.

Convenient brackets for mounting the Kasco De-Icer to your dock. The bracket can be adjusted from vertical to horizontal, and the angle of the De-Icer can also be adjusted to several different angles to achieve the correct water flow.

Suitable for use with a pipe with an outer diameter of 33.3 mm (1 5/16") and a length of up to 3 meters. NOTE! The pipe is not included in the package. The picture shows the bracket + pipe + Kasco De-Icer. This product only applies to the bracket.
