In the inflatable boats with air bottom product group, you will find inflatable boats where the bottom also needs to be filled with air instead of a solid joint or aluminum bottom. The air bottom makes the boat significantly lighter and easier to transport and store than a rigid-bottom model — the entire boat fits into a relatively small bag when folded, which makes it a convenient solution, for example, as a dinghy for a sailboat, a dinghy for a cottage beach or as an auxiliary boat for a motorhome without a separate trailer or lifting device.

Our current range includes the 7OC 260 inflatable boat with an air bottom, which is suitable for small-scale boating and shore excursions — the model number 260 refers to the length of the boat in centimeters, making it a compact, easy-to-handle one- or two-person boat. The air-bottom model is not as rigid as an aluminum-floored or solid-bottomed RIB, so it is best suited for calmer waters and shorter trips, rather than long, high-wave trips, where a stiffer bottom would provide a more stable and drier driving experience.

Another advantage of an air-bottom boat compared to a solid bottom is that the boat weighs less and is therefore easier to lift onto the deck of a sailboat, for example, or to transport with a lighter outboard motor — many people choose an air-bottom model precisely because it does not have to be stored in place on a trailer or dock all summer, but can be filled and emptied as needed.

Remember to check the bottom air pressure regularly before going out on the water — the correct inflation pressure directly affects the boat's handling and stability, and a bottom that is too loose will make the boat unstable and slow. Store the assembled boat out of direct sunlight for extended periods of time, as UV radiation will weaken PVC or Hypalon material over time, just like other inflatable boats.

It is always a good idea to keep a repair kit and pump with your inflatable boat or as an accessory — even a small leak in the airbed directly affects the boat's maneuverability, and repairs can usually be done on the water or on the shore, as long as you have the necessary tools.

It is a good idea to choose a pump that comes with an inflatable boat that is powerful enough so that filling it up does not take an unreasonable amount of time before each launch — an electric pump speeds up filling considerably compared to a hand pump, which is a particularly handy feature if the boat is used frequently.
