The Sleipner Maxi 43 1000W is an inboard anchor winch that makes anchoring easier and more controlled. The motor and pulley can be mounted at any angle within a 360° radius, making it easier to find a practical place for the winch in the boat. In the Maxi 43 model, the pulley is located on the starboard side, looking towards the direction of travel of the boat.

The Sleipner Maxi 43 is a more powerful alternative to the Sleipner MIDI 600W anchor winch, for example. It is suitable for larger boats, frequent anchoring or when a more robust solution for indoor installation is desired.

Functions and use

The free-fall function allows the anchor to be lowered quickly. The pulley also provides light resistance, keeping the fall controlled. This also helps to avoid unnecessary slack in the rope.

The anchor windlass has an automatic stop with a sensor that detects when the anchor is up. The windlass first stops in the flushing position, and with a second push the anchor is raised completely. A small brass ring is installed on the rope, which activates the automatic stop sensor.

The PWM controller takes care of power regulation and control of the winch electronics. Starting requires pressing two buttons simultaneously, which acts as a safety feature and reduces the risk of accidental starting.
