COVERS:
The AdvancedFrame Convertible comes with a seat opening cover. The kayak can also be used as an open model without covers, which makes it resemble a canoe, although the sides are lower. The cover is attached to the seat opening with a zipper and both covers also have an inflatable collar, to which you can attach an Advanced Elements Packlite or Touring opening cover if you wish. With a single cover, the entire open space can be covered so that there is a seat opening for the paddler in the middle of the kayak and a hatch-like opening behind the seat opening for access to equipment under the deck. With a double cover, the entire open space can be covered in the same way, but so that the kayak has two separate seat openings and a small mesh pocket between them. The covers protect the effective seat tray from getting wet, so we recommend purchasing both or one with the kayak.
