Their compact size and folding design make them easy to use even in smaller spaces, and they are highly resistant to changing weather and salty seawater. Check out Marinekauppa's selection , where you can find a deck chair that suits your needs. Deck chair history and materials The deck chair has its roots in sailors’ lounge chairs, and its design is still just as practical today. Modern materials such as wood, metal and weatherproof plastic offer options for different needs. Wood brings warmth and timelessness, while aluminum-framed deck chairs are lightweight and easy to move. Plastic options, on the other hand, are easy to maintain and highly resistant to moisture – the perfect solution for boating. Style and colors When choosing a deck chair, you have the opportunity to reflect your own style: neutral tones create harmony, while bright colors bring summer joy to outdoor spaces. Classic models charm with their curved shapes, while modern deck chairs impress with their straight lines. Ergonomics and comfort Deck chairs are designed to provide optimal body support. Their ergonomically shaped backrests and seats provide the perfect platform for relaxation. Many models also include adjustable features, such as a reclining backrest, making them suitable for reading, working or just lounging. Maintenance To ensure your deck chair lasts through the summer months, maintenance is important. Oiling the wooden parts, checking the metal parts, and cleaning the weatherproof materials will keep your chair in good condition and ready for every summer moment. The removable and washable cushions on most models make cleaning quick and easy. Are you looking for a table for your deck in addition to a deck chair? What is a deck chair?
A deck chair is a seat located on the deck of a boat or ship. It is usually installed on open or semi-open boats that do not have a shelter above, such as a cabin or cockpit. A deck chair can be a separate seat or part of the boat's structure.
Deck chairs can vary in size and shape depending on the type of boat and its intended use. In some cases, a deck chair may be a single seat for the driver or coxswain, while in others it may be a long bench that can accommodate several passengers.
Deck chairs are designed to provide comfort and seating on a boat, allowing passengers to enjoy the scenery and the outdoors. They can be made of various materials, such as wood, metal, or plastic, and may have padding or seat cushions for added comfort.
Overall, a deck chair is a seat placed on the deck of a boat that provides a comfortable and convenient place to sit and enjoy boating.
