The advantage of an automatic life jacket over a manual one is that the user does not have to remember to trigger the life jacket in an emergency, which is especially important if the fall into the water occurs unexpectedly or the user loses consciousness. In addition to the weight class, it is worth considering the fit of the vest and the adjustability of the straps — a vest that is too loose can rise above the face when entering the water, which weakens its protective effect. It is a good idea to mark the expiration date of the vest's gas cartridges on your calendar so that you don't forget to replace them and the vest remains reliably functional throughout its lifespan.
