AISI 316 is a stainless steel grade known for its excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine environments.
AISI 316 contains approximately 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel and 2–3% molybdenum, which improves its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion compared to AISI 304.
