Quantum Q24D 18' Doppler CHIRP Pulse Compression Dome Radar
Equipped with Doppler collision avoidance technology, Quantum makes it easier to identify potentially dangerous targets when navigating in busy traffic areas. Quantum 2 uses advanced Doppler processing to instantly highlight moving radar contacts and color-code them to indicate whether they are incoming or outgoing. For incoming targets, the frequency increases as the leading edge of the returning echoes is received more frequently as the target range decreases. Incoming targets are marked in red. For outgoing targets, the frequency decreases as the returning echoes spread out as the range increases. Outgoing targets are marked in green.
Superior collision avoidance
Quantum 2 MARPA mode provides effective dangerous target tracking. Raymarine's MARPA target tracking feature uses the same technology as the U.S. Coast Guard.
Quantum uses CHIRP pulse compression technology to provide detailed images at both short and long ranges. Quantum uses very little power, making it ideal for battery-saving sailing and electric vessels. Its lightweight design and wireless communication make it ideal for mounting on sailboat masts, lookout towers and other complex and pressure-sensitive locations. Quantum is an excellent choice for coastal navigation and collision avoidance.
Quantum 2 also features advanced Doppler radar tracking of the target. Doppler tracking colors moving radar contacts and distinguishes them from stationary targets. Radar contacts approaching are marked in red and those moving away are marked in green. This makes it easy for the captain to assess the radar situation at a glance and steer the ship in tight harbors.
Main features
- Doppler moving target display allows for excellent situational awareness at a glance
- Fully automatic target tracking ARPA and manual MARPA mode
- Adjustable TrueTrails target history shows the movement history of moving contacts
- CHIRP pulse compression detects contacts even less than 6 meters away when navigation visibility is zero
- 38-kilometer range helps detect traffic, navigation aids, landing sites and weather in time
- Ready to use right away – Quantum boots up and is ready to use in seconds
- Superior interference rejection eliminates noise from other radars
- Simplified installation via Wi-Fi or connection to the network with a thin cable
- Easy to upgrade – Quantum 2 fits the same bolt pattern as other Raymarine radar antennas
- Lightweight and easy to install – Quantum weighs up to 50% less than comparable magnetron radars
- Install Quantum anywhere on the ship
- Low power consumption extends battery life while sailing
- Quantum 2 Q24D radar antenna
