3M Perfect-It Fine Compound fine polish/finishing compound

3M Perfect-It Fine Compound is the finest polish, specially formulated to remove fine sanding marks, small scratches and oxidation from both gelcoat and paint surfaces.

It quickly removes holograms (swirl marks) while providing a high-gloss, excellent finish. Perfect for the finishing stage of the polishing process, where it creates a glossy surface and leaves a perfect result, after which a protective wax can be applied.

MANUAL OR MACHINE USE:

• Manual application: Apply a small amount of product to the cleaned surface and buff with a soft cloth or applicator until a smooth and shiny surface is achieved. Then wipe off with a suitable microfiber cloth.
• Machine application: Use a polishing machine with a low to medium rotation speed and a soft polishing pad to effectively treat the surface. Then wipe off with a suitable microfiber cloth.

Polishing steps (3M color codes):

• White Cap (Coarse Sanding) – Removes deep scratches and sanding marks.
• Green Cap (Medium Sanding) – Removes small to medium-sized imperfections and creates a smooth surface.
• Yellow cap (Fine Polish) – Removes fine scratches and gives a high-gloss finish.
