The IC-M37E has a design that makes it comfortable to hold in your hand, and large buttons make it easy to use even with gloves. The radio's LCD display quickly shows the selected channel number and status symbols. Overall, the radio is rugged enough for commercial use, but flexible enough for hobby use.
Channel history function
The channel history function stores the five most recently used channels for easy access with the touch of a button.
Flashing red LED light when floating
The radio will float if dropped in water and can be located by a flashing red LED, display and keypad illumination.
Aquaquake runoff feature
The IC-M37E is rated IP57 dust and water resistant (1 meter for 30 minutes). The radio also features AquaQuake, a drainage feature that helps water drain from the speaker grill and prevents the speaker from becoming clogged with water.
Flexible charging options
The included lithium-ion battery provides over 12 hours of use. The radio also comes with a desktop charger with a handy clip to keep the radio in place even in vibrating environments. The desktop charger can be powered by the included 220V wall charger, but also by USB and 12V power.
