Self-adjusting trim level set with composite board
Improve your boat's handling characteristics in a very affordable way. The Smart Tab SX is suitable for 15-20 foot powerboats. The Smart Tab SX is fully automatic and requires no manual adjustment during operation. The gas spring ensures that the stern is raised by keeping the trim level down during acceleration. The degree of lift is determined by the gas spring load and the trim level adjustment, which is made during installation.
The Smart Tab SX pivots downward at an angle to maximize lift at low speeds. As the boat accelerates, the water pushes the trim tab upward, resulting in a lift of the stern and rapid leveling of the boat. When the water pressure exceeds the gas spring’s load rating (maximum height), the trim tab will return to a horizontal position to avoid drag.
