Buoy weight 55 kg – For attaching the buoy and the dock
The buoy weight is an effective and reliable solution for anchoring buoys and docks. It is made of high-quality steel and painted gray for improved rust protection. Its sturdy and angular shape allows for effective sinking into muddy bottoms or gripping into rocky bottoms, making it an excellent choice for both lake and marine use.
Features and benefits:
- Durable construction: Made of steel, painted for extra protection against rust.
- Effective attachment: Designed to sink or grip the bottom firmly.
- Strong lashing eye: Equipped with a sturdy eye for securely attaching a buoy rope or chain.
- Stable positioning: The buoy weight does not rotate under load thanks to its angular projections, and it sinks into the mud with the mounting bracket pointing towards the shore - this way the weight remains firmly in place.
- Versatile installation: For floating docks, two or four buoy weights can be used, depending on the size and shape of the dock. It is recommended to arrange the chains or ropes diagonally, which improves damping and stability.
Recommended use:
- Buoy attachment: Particularly effective on muddy bottoms where the weight sinks firmly.
- Dock mooring: Perfect for anchoring docks of various sizes and shapes in a variety of environments.
- Rope length: Use a chain or buoy rope length of approximately 3–4 times the water depth.
Specifications
- Material: Steel
- Surface treatment: Painted for rust protection
- Weights: Available in 25kg, 40kg, 55kg, 70kg
Things to note
- Rusting does not progress when the material is in an oxygen-free environment, such as mud.
- On rocky bottoms, the float can be attached to a rope to reduce wear and tear and prevent damage to bottom vegetation.
