The Yamaha round engine zinc anode F75–F225 is a genuine zinc anode fitted internally in the engine (cooling system / engine block).
A zinc anode is a sacrificial anode: it is designed to corrode before the engine's other metal parts, protecting them against galvanic corrosion. Inspect the anode regularly and replace it when it is clearly consumed. Never paint or cover the anode, as this impairs its function.
