The boat A-rack protects your boat during winter storage. The rack is equipped with quick connectors, making it very easy to assemble.
Strong T-pieces made of fiber-reinforced polyethylene with a 5-year warranty. The T-piece is a further development of the T-piece used for years and is now even stronger to better withstand the Finnish winter.
No screws that can get lost, no joints that can give way under load.
The tubes are made of durable aluminum with a diameter of 38 mm and a tube thickness of 2.1 mm.
Supplied as a complete set in a storage bag.
We supply standard kits for boats from 16 to 35 feet and can easily be expanded with additional tubes if you have a larger boat.
The stands have 4 legs (2 pairs of legs) that stand on the ground, as well as adjustable support legs that are placed in the boat. See the technical specifications to see how many legs are included in each package.
If desired, use a crossbar (see accessories) between the legs on the ground to prevent them from moving.
To prevent condensation and moisture from building up in the boat during storage, we recommend using two covers; a thin inner cover and a stronger outer cover. Condensation from the outer cover will then drip onto the inner cover instead of the boat. Make sure the cover has enough slope to allow rain and snow to slide off.
Specifications:
- 1pc peephole pipe 10.5m (7x1.5m)
- 1pc long leg 150-290cm
- 2pcs short leg 80-150cm
- 4pcs long legs for the ground 4.5m (3x1.5m)
- 1pc storage bag
General instructions:
It is recommended that you choose a cover that is slightly shorter than the stand. This will allow the A-stand brush bar to protrude from under the cover and not damage it.
Secure the rack firmly so that it cannot move lengthwise or widthwise. You can use thin rope, straps, buckles or similar.
Make sure the tarpaulin has an opening at the front and back to allow ventilation under the tarpaulin. This will help prevent moisture and mold. The opening should not be so large that the wind will catch too much on the tarpaulin.
Tighten the ropes around the tarpaulin well and check the situation after 1-2 weeks.
To extend the life of the cover, it is recommended to use an elastic rope or other flexible tightening method, such as an elastic strap. This will protect the boat cover fasteners in strong winds.
Regular inspection of the rack and cover during the storage period is recommended.
- A-Rack (end legs on the ground and the rest on deck)

Noa Basic NOA Basic is a convenient hybrid cover rack that combines the features of an A-rack and a deck rack. It can be used both on land and directly on the boat deck, making it ideal for adapting to different boat types and protection needs. The model we offer is designed for boats up to 8 meters long, and its length can be easily adjusted by removing the top bar or sawing it to the right length with a hacksaw. You can also extend the rack, as it is fully compatible with all NOA tubes and parts.
Flexible conversion to D-rack You can use the NOA Basic as a deck rack by cutting the 30mm tubes of the A-legs to the desired length with a hacksaw. This allows the rack to be placed directly on the boat deck instead of on the ground, giving maximum flexibility and adaptability.
Easy installation and dismantling
The installation of the NOA Basic protective stand is simple and quick. Start by installing the plastic telescopic locks and then continue by installing the T-joints. Make sure that the small button on the T-joint fits into the hole in the telescopic leg to prevent the joint from slipping out.
If you have trouble removing the top rail, you can use two T-joints to get a better grip. Be especially careful in cold weather conditions, as it can be difficult to get a good grip on the pipe.
Tips for smooth processing
Check that all parts are included in the package. Smaller tubes may be inside larger tubes depending on the model.
Assemble the rack at home and mark the parts with tape or a pen to make installation easier.
Mark the center of the tarp so you know where to place it.
If more than one person is assembling the rack, make sure to have several 8mm Allen keys (Allen key not included).
Accessories for extra stability
The stability and functionality of the NOA Basic protective stand can be improved with several accessories:
Brackets: Purchase NOA brackets and NOA end pieces that can be used to attach the rack legs to the boat's existing railings.
Crossbars: Complete with crossbars and brackets that can be used to improve the stability of the A-legs. Can be installed on Ø30 and Ø35 mm pipes.
Telescopic legs: Additional telescopic legs that can be used to strengthen and stabilize the stand.
Storage Bag: Store the rack and all parts in a handy bag during the summer months when the rack is not being used on the boat.
The NOA Basic protective rack is made in Sweden from high-quality anodized aluminum, which ensures durability and corrosion resistance. The protective rack is designed to provide maximum protection for your boat during the winter season, and is easy to assemble and store for the summer.

The NOA A-frame is designed for boats between 7 and 9.5 meters (22 and 31 feet) in length. The model has a total length of 8 to 10 meters and is built with telescopic A-legs that are placed in the ground at the bow and stern of the boat. The telescopic structure makes it easy to adjust the height of the frame as needed.
The brush tubes can be shortened or adjusted if they extend too far. For longer boats, the A-frame can be extended with additional brush tubes and deck legs. NOA also offers accessories such as cross supports, brackets and telescopic legs for additional stability.
Tip: Always choose a frame that is slightly longer than your boat. The brush tubes should not extend more than 30 cm over the bow or stern to prevent the tarpaulin from tearing.
Like all NOA products, the A-frame tarpaulin is made of high-quality anodized aluminum, making it lightweight, durable and corrosion-resistant. The structure provides reliable protection for your boat during winter storage and is easy to dismantle and store for the summer season.
Easy installation
The assembly begins by placing the rear pair of A-legs together with one of the ridge tubes. The frame is then built forward section by section, placing the legs at even intervals. If any ridge tube is too long, it can easily be cut or removed.
To ensure a smooth installation, it is a good idea to check all parts before starting – smaller pipes may be packed inside larger ones. A practical tip is to mark the parts with tape or a marker during the first installation, which will make assembly easier in the future.
Tips for smooth operation
Mark the center of the tarpaulin to make it easier to position it. If more than one person is involved in the installation, make sure each person has their own 8 mm Allen key. During disassembly in cold weather, it may be helpful to use two T-joints to give you a better grip on the brush tubes.

NOA A-racks offer unlimited possibilities to “customize” the right protective rack for sailboats and motorboats, because the A-legs and deck legs that come with the rack are telescopic legs, so the length can be easily adjusted to suit. The advantage of the A-rack is that the A-legs reduce the pressure caused by the wind against the boat, when the legs are directly on the ground. The deck legs can be placed against the edge of the railing, the cabin roof or another suitable place on the deck. Alternatively, they can also be placed on the seat trough, which ensures excellent balance. The A-rack is available in eight different lengths, from 5 meters to 12 meters. The A-rack is suitable for both sailboats and motorboats that do not have a bow or stern railing. The A-legs raise the protective cover so that air can circulate from the bow and stern, which ensures excellent ventilation. The inner tubes are 30mm and the outer tubes are 35mm and have plastic caps on the ends. The tubes are made of aluminum. The bolts and nuts are made of stainless steel.
NOA tarpaulin racks are made of anodized aluminum tubes and die-cast aluminum connectors. The parts that are attached to the boat are made of profile. The ends are protected with plastic plugs. The rack is lightweight and fits into a small package and is easily modified when needs change. Very easy to assemble and disassemble. When assembled correctly, a very sturdy structure is created that will not break the tarpaulin and can withstand even the strongest storms.
