LED Flares and Pyrotechnics

Traditional flares light up for about 30 seconds before going out. Odeo Distress lights up for about 8 hours. Since the lighting is not based on pyrotechnics, Odeo products are completely safe when switched on. The flare can also be carried in your carry-on luggage on flights, as it is powered by a lithium battery or alkaline batteries. Always test the flare before taking it on a boat. The battery case is rigid and the batteries should be placed so that their poles are in contact with the contact surfaces.

MOST TYPICAL USES:
Originally designed for marine use, but suitable for all kinds of outdoor applications due to its small size and light weight. The smaller size makes the ODEO Distress model ideal for mountaineering, skiing, kayaking, exploration, etc. Eliminates the need to carry emergency flares - no risk of fires or forest fires. The small size of the ODEO Distress and its water resistance of IP68 (50 m) make it ideal for diving.

POWER SOURCE
The Odeo Distress operates on 4 x L91 lithium batteries or 4 x alkaline batteries. These batteries have a very long storage life and their capacity and temperature resistance allow for long operating times even in extreme temperatures.

COMPLIANCE AND STANDARDS
Odeo Distress is designed to meet SOLAS requirements, making it a great alternative to traditional flares. The US Coast Guard is currently the leading developer of standards for electronic visual distress signal devices (eVDSD). These devices are used to replace traditional pyrotechnic flares. Odeo Flare™ is equipped with an automatic pre-programmed SOS signal with a flashing sequence (as specified in Annex 4 /COLREGS), so it meets the requirements of international standards.

The orange buoyant smoke is a daylight signal flare that can be used on ships, lifeboats and life rafts.

This smoke signal emits a dense orange smoke visible from boats several kilometers away. It also provides a great visibility for search and rescue helicopters and airplanes.

The case is made of corrosion-resistant steel and carries clear and simple instructions, making the emergency signal very easy to use. To activate it, simply remove the lid, pull the internal loop and throw it into the water. It will immediately emit emergency smoke to attract attention.

The orange buoyant smoke signal has been approved globally and meets the latest SOLAS regulations.

The ODEO Strobe is designed to mark a location in an emergency or as a warning light.

Approved to MED, SOLAS and USCG requirements, the ODEO Strobe is capable of producing a bright flashing light and includes an infrared signal. The ODEO Strobe has a maximum brightness of 50 cd and is visible for over 3 nautical miles.

The strobe light lasts up to 2 days and is waterproof to 50 meters (IP68). The compact and lightweight design uses a user-replaceable AA lithium or alkaline battery and comes with a velcro strap that makes it easy to attach the ODEO Strobe light to a life jacket or belt for easy access when needed.

ODEO Strobe is a reliable and effective tool to ensure your safety when sailing or during outdoor activities, especially in emergency situations with poor visibility.

Electronic emergency flare RescueME EDF1 – visibility up to 7NM

The RescueME EDF1 is a safe and long-lasting solution for visual emergency signaling. It utilizes advanced LED technology and efficient circuit electronics to ensure consistent, bright light throughout the life of the replaceable battery . The beam covers over 30° of area across a full 360° and offers over six times the visibility of many other electronic emergency flares. In addition, the light is reflected into the entire hemispherical space above the device , improving visibility even from the air .

Unlike disposable pyrotechnic emergency flares, the RescueME EDF1 can be used repeatedly in various modes, including SOS . Its compact size and durable construction make it an excellent addition to a life raft , survival kit or backpack .
