The black HDI xSonic mid/high/455/800 kHz sonar transducer features a 9-pin connector and supports mid and high CHIRP frequencies and DownScan Imaging™ technology.

Lowrance HDI transducer

83/200/455/800 kHz HDI Skimmer transducer. Standard transducer for HOOK and Elite HDI/Chirp devices. Suitable for use with devices with a 7-pin blue connector: for example HDS Carbon, HDS Gen3, Elite Ti/Ti2, Elite CHIRP and HOOK.

DownScan Imaging

High-frequency 455/800 kHz DownScan Imaging provides a live view of the water surface, bottom and other structure below your boat: you can see fish, rocks, algae and debris clearly on the multi-function display. DownScan is a powerful tool for locating fish hiding places, finding wrecks or reefs, or conducting searches and surveys.

Depth/temperature

One sensor does it all. The HDI Skimmer 455/800 can measure both depth and temperature, making installation easy and requiring only one connection to a sonar module or multifunction display.

Installation

The HDI Skimmer 455/800 can be mounted on the transom or on the trolling motor on all hull types. Transom mount transducers are designed for smaller outboard or outboard/inboard boats and are well suited to surface planing hulls. The transom solution is simple to install and maintain, and the transducer can be easily adjusted to the angle of the transom. Trolling motor installation is quick and easy, offering excellent performance in in-hull installations and does not require drilling holes in the hull or transom.

StructureScan® 3D helps anglers find where fish are hiding faster from their boat. With a wide, 180-degree sonar field, anglers can quickly pinpoint the best spots for potential fishing by slowly gliding over the area. The sonar reveals depth variations, rocks, clumps of branches, algae, logs, shipwrecks and more.

SideScan for crystal clear images

More sensors have been added to the StructureScan 3D transducer, ensuring the best possible SideScan sonar and imaging results.

High Definition (HD) and Super-Wide 3D Sonar! View bottom contours up to 183 meters wide in incredibly detailed and accurate images. StructureScan® 3D offers multiple viewing modes, including 2D DownScan Imaging and StructureScan® HD, as well as a new, true-to-life 3D view. Preset viewing angles and ScanTrack viewing angle control mode let you adjust the underwater view and perspective. Combine adjustable HD and 3D views to better pinpoint fish locations.

Leading Edge technology provides a clear graphical representation of where the sonar signal is hitting the bottom. The depth and extent of the newly created area are displayed as red fan-shaped markers directly below the boat. Leading Edge also includes a more detailed depth scale that can be zoomed in to give you a better idea of ??the depth of the target.

SelectScan target recognition automatically shades fish hiding places and underwater objects with a distinctive color from a selected color palette, making target identification quick and easy.

Vertical Enhancement highlights changes in depth. The user can select a scale to make changes in bottom depth easier to see. Vertical Enhancement makes even the smallest depth changes easier to see.

Waypoint Overlay makes it easy to return to good spots and other locations. You can save a waypoint either at your boat's location using the keyboard or by using the cursor to, for example, where the fish are.

Automatic 3D Image Settings! With the default HDS Gen 3 configuration and StructureScan 3D module, you can configure fine-tuned 3D image settings. The on-screen slider allows you to adjust the surface brightness and contrast. The Surface Clarity setting improves the clarity of the surface on the screen by reducing the receiver sensitivity near the surface. The Contrast setting lightens or darkens the image, making fish and bottom features more clearly visible.
