Autopilot system for stern and stern motor boats with hydraulic steering
The EV-150 is ideal for boats with a single outboard or sterndrive. It provides precise autopilot control thanks to the intelligent EV-1 sensor core and ACU-150 control unit. The system includes a Type 1 hydraulic autopilot pump. The pump is compatible with 80-230 cc outboard and sterndrive hydraulic steering cylinders. EV-150 Hydraulic Pilot Systems are available with the p70Rs autopilot controller, ACU-150 control unit, EV-1 heading sensor and 12-volt Type 1 hydraulic pump. Raymarine autopilot owners who already have a Type 1 hydraulic actuator can upgrade to Evolution technology with the Evolution Hydraulic Pilot Kit without a Type 1 actuator.

Mechanical linear actuators are most commonly used in sailboats. Raymarine mechanical linear actuators provide powerful thrust, fast side-to-side motion, and are quiet. Below-deck mounted linear actuators move the rudder directly by pushing and pulling the tiller arm or quadrant.
The linear actuator is connected to the rudder stock via a separate rudder stock. Installation may require additional parts from the steering system manufacturer. The rudder steering system must be capable of "back drive".
