At the heart of the Raymarine Evolution EV-400 autopilot system is the EV sensor core, a 9-axis intelligent sensor that measures vessel motion in all three dimensions. The innovative EV sensor core is implemented using solid-state technology and is integrated with the Evolution autopilot processor in the same easy-to-install housing.
You can mount the EV sensor core above or below the cover, the durable housing is completely sealed (IPX6/IPX7 protection class) and resistant to splash water and immersion in water.
Advantages of EV sensor core
- Accurate, continuous measurement of steering direction, roll, yaw and pitch provides the autopilot with the information it needs to determine sea conditions and monitor the boat's dynamic motion characteristics.
- Flexible installation options – can be installed above or below the deck.
- Easy-to-use SeaTalkng connectivity to the control unit and ACU.
- Solid-state sensor technology ensures dynamic accuracy (2 degrees under all conditions).
- Autocompensation eliminates the effects of magnetic fields inside the boat and ensures reliable course keeping in both extreme northern and southern regions.
- Fast and reliable heading information for MARPA functions, radar overlays and support for different heading modes with Raymarine multifunction displays.
