Self-Vulcanizing Tapes

Vulcanizable tape – tight and versatile protection
This tape is a vulcanizing type, meaning it bonds to itself through a chemical reaction. About an hour after installation, the tape becomes:

Waterproof
Ozone-resistant
Corrosion-protected
Protects against high voltage

The tape is suitable for insulating connectors, temporarily repairing water hoses and many other uses. Since the tape does not contain traditional adhesive, it does not leave any residue when removed.

PSP Butyl Tape is used when a watertight joint is required between two surfaces. It works on most materials and creates a watertight seal between two surfaces, such as deck fasteners, windows, guardrails, metal, plastic, etc.

Instructions:
Cut to desired length and place tape around the object.
Press lightly into place and remove the protective paper.
Form enough butyl into the top of the thread that it will penetrate and seal the bolt hole.
Tighten the bolts to secure and remove any excess butyl.

Self-vulcanizing tape suitable for both turnbuckles and waterproofing electrical cables. Vulcanization provides waterproof protection within about an hour of installation.
