Shaft anode for propeller shaft
A zinc anode suitable for the propeller shaft that protects the boat's iron and other metal parts from corrosion. The anode acts as a sacrificial shield and prevents corrosion damage to the boat's underwater metal parts.
Corrosion occurs electrochemically when different metals are in contact with each other and water acts as a conductor. In a combination of such metals, the base metal corrodes first. Zinc is a base metal compared to, for example, iron, stainless steel, copper and brass, which makes it effective in protecting more valuable metal parts.
Intended use
Protection of the propeller shaft and related metal parts
Underwater metal structures of a boat
For use in fresh and salt water
Installation
The anode is installed below the waterline
Attach a shaft support as close as possible to the propeller shaft.
Installed longitudinally in connection with the metal parts to be protected
The anode must not be painted with primer or other paint.
Maintenance and inspection
Zinc anodes should be checked every time the boat is lifted.
The anode must be replaced without fail when it is clearly worn out.
A worn anode no longer protects metal parts effectively
A properly installed and regularly replaced shaft anode extends the life of the propeller shaft and other metal parts and prevents costly corrosion damage.
- For 30mm axle

Intended use
Propeller shaft corrosion protection
Protection of underwater metal parts of a boat
Especially suitable for salt water
Installation instructions

Attach a shaft support as close as possible to the propeller shaft.
Installed longitudinally in connection with the metal parts to be protected
The zinc anode must not be painted with boat primer.
Maintenance and inspection
Zinc anodes should be checked every time the boat is lifted.
The anode must be replaced without fail if it is clearly worn.
A worn anode no longer provides sufficient protection
A properly installed and regularly replaced shaft anode extends the life of the propeller shaft and other metal parts and helps prevent costly corrosion damage.
- For 45mm axle

Shaft anode for propeller shaft
A zinc anode suitable for the propeller shaft that protects the boat's iron and other metal parts from corrosion. The anode acts as a sacrificial protection and effectively slows down corrosion in the boat's underwater metal parts.
Corrosion occurs electrochemically when different metals are in contact with each other. In this situation, the metals act like an electric battery, with water connecting the terminals. In such a combination of metals, the more base metal always corrodes first. Zinc is a more base metal compared to, for example, iron, stainless steel, copper and brass, so it effectively protects more valuable metal parts.
Intended use
Propeller shaft protection against corrosion
Protection of underwater metal parts of a boat
Suitable for boats with shaft drive
Installation
The anode is always installed below the waterline.
Attach a shaft support as close as possible to the propeller shaft.
Installed longitudinally in connection with the metal parts to be protected

The anode must be replaced without fail if it is clearly worn.
A worn anode no longer provides sufficient protection for metal parts
A properly installed and regularly replaced shaft anode extends the life of the propeller shaft and other metal parts of the boat and helps prevent costly corrosion damage.
