Baltic Hammar Lifesaver inflatable lifebuoy

LifeSaver is a self-inflating, horseshoe-shaped lifebuoy designed to fit all types of boats, large and small. When not in use, it is shaped like a rugby ball and is easy to store, looks great and, above all, is easy to throw far and accurately to the desired location in the water. When it enters the water, its protective case opens and the lifebuoy is automatically inflated. The protective case is attached to the lifebuoy with a rope and acts as a kind of drag anchor to prevent the lifebuoy from drifting away from the person in distress.

LifeSaver was developed in collaboration with the Swedish Sea Rescue Association (Svenska Sjöräddningssällskapet). The starting point was that none of the lifebuoys on the market met the organization's strict safety requirements. The goal was to create a new lifebuoy that would no longer have the shortcomings of older lifebuoys, and the project was successful. The Swedish Sea Rescue Association currently uses LifeSaver in its sea rescue work, and other areas where LifeSaver can be useful include coastal patrol, rescue services and kayaking.
