Hempel's Teak Colour Restorer is a pigmented teak oil that contains anti-fungal agents to prevent discoloration. After application, the wood turns golden brown.

Can be used on new and previously treated wood surfaces above the waterline, both indoors and outdoors.

Surface Preparation:
Remove oil, grease and other contaminants with a suitable detergent.
New building:
Clean new wood with Hempel Teak Cleaner. If necessary, sand rough surfaces with sandpaper.
Remove dust and loose material.
The moisture content must be below 16%.
Diffusion:
Cleaning agent: Hempel Thinner 808
Application method:
Brush: Not relevant.
Roller: Not relevant.
Do not use thinner with this product.
Film thickness:
The spraying speed depends on the surface roughness, porosity and application method.
Painting conditions:
Apply only to a dry, clean surface with a temperature at least 3°C ??[5°F] above the dew point.
Drying and Overpainting:
The relative humidity must be below 85% during drying and curing.
Drying time:
Surface temperature 10°C [50°F]: Touch dry 16 hours.
Surface temperature 20°C [68°F]: Touch dry 8 hours.
Notes on overpainting:
One coat is usually recommended.
Pigmented teak oil, restores the natural tone of teak. For use above the waterline, but not recommended for decks that are walked on.
