Why primer? Priming creates protection against osmosis and corrosion. It improves the adhesion, coverage, pore filling and water penetration of paints. Primer is the first complete coat of paint on a boat's surface. Primers are designed to adhere well to new surfaces and are formulated to meet the specific needs of each surface.
