Lowrance's all-new Smartsteer autopilot with direct control from your HDS Gen2, HDS Gen2 TOUCH or the new HDS -Gen3 display keeps your boat on course, steers along a route or towards a specified waypoint. The autopilot comes pre-programmed with all the traditional route/waypoint runs, heading hold and multiple trolling patterns. Quickly and easily convert your day's track into a route and return to port the same route. Everything you need to install the autopilot is in this package in one box. Focus on fishing and let the autopilot keep you on course.
The new HDS -Gen3 device has a pre-installed SmartSteer interface, which allows you to control the autopilot functions directly from the device's screen. You can also get the same SmartSteer autopilot control on the HDS -Gen2 and HDS -Gen2 TOUCH devices by downloading the new 3.5 update from the Lowrance website. After the update, the AutoSteer operating menu will appear in your device's menu, with the SmartSteer feature of which you can control the autopilot directly from the device's screen. The AutoSteer interface also gives you control over the Motorguide Xi5 PinPoint GPS bow thruster directly from the screen. With the SmartSteer interface, you can switch the controlled engine from outboard to bow thruster while flying!
