The day/night solar panel fan helps circulate air in the boat. It reduces the risk of mold and moisture in the boat. No separate electricity or cables are needed. The solar panel is powered by a battery that is charged by the sun. The NiMh battery can last up to 24 hours without sunlight. The fan has an on/off switch, as well as a button to adjust the air direction either inward or outward. The solar panel fan is supplied with a white plastic inner frame, mosquito nets and mounting hardware.

NOTE: Batteries are empty when delivered and require 24 hours of outdoor charging before being fully charged.

How many fans do I need for my boat?
It varies. Marinco's guidelines suggest the following:
- Boats up to 24 feet = 1 fan
- Boats 24-40 feet = 1 exhaust and 1 inlet air valve
- Boats over 40 feet = 2 exhaust and 1 inlet air valve

To ensure effective ventilation, the fan must be able to ventilate the interior, for example with a swan neck valve or ventilation grilles.

Calculating the boat's air volume:
- AxBxCx70% = total air volume of the boat
- A = length of the interior of the boat (without cockpit)
- B = width of the boat
- C = inside height of the boat

NOTE! To ensure longer battery life, the fan should not be left on 24/7, especially when the sun is not charging the battery.
