Martec Vacuum (Anti-Siphon) Valve 16mm, Volvo/Yanmar

Martec's 16mm vacuum (anti-siphon) valve is a safe, reliable protective component for your boat's engine. It effectively prevents siphoning in the engine's exhaust outlet — a phenomenon that can otherwise draw water back into the engine and cause serious damage while the engine is off. The valve is made from corrosion-resistant materials, fully leak-proof, and easy to install even in a tight engine bay.

This model fits a wide range of Volvo Penta engines (MD1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 17, MB10, MD2001, 2002, 2003) and Yanmar engines (YSE8-12 fresh-water cooled, YSB8-12, YSM8-12, 1GM fresh-water cooled, 2GM, 3GM, 2QM15, 2QM20). Always check your exact engine model before ordering, as older Volvo Penta and Yanmar models use different valve sizes.
