The Mente Marin Automatic Trim Panel ACS RP (Roll & Pitch) is one of the most advanced automatic trim systems on the market for both electric and hydraulic trim tabs. With a single control panel, you get a fully automatic system that stabilizes the boat both longitudinally and laterally. In addition, the ACS RP improves the boat's performance, fuel economy and travel comfort.
Principle
Modern pleasure boats increasingly use a V-shaped hull, which provides a smoother ride in waves. The deeper the V-bottom, the greater the need for trim tabs to maintain a stable driving position. The lateral balance of the boat is affected by passenger positioning and wind direction, while the longitudinal driving position depends on speed and load.
When the course changes or passengers change seats, the boat's trim needs to be readjusted to maintain balance. Constant manual adjustments can be distracting and at high speeds even a safety risk.
