The AIS Alarm Box is designed to ensure that upon receiving an AIS MOB or AIS SART signal, an audible alarm is sounded, ensuring that everyone on board is aware that a MOB or crew is in distress. Its simple design, compact nature and use of NMEA 0183 mean that integration of the AIS Alarm Box with an AIS receiver and existing network is straightforward.
The Ocean Signal AIS alarm allows the user to program up to 30 individual MMSI numbers, multiple tones to identify the source of the AIS signal (MOB or SART), and allows for waterproof external installation.
The user can configure the AIS alarm screen to input up to 30 MMSI numbers to generate a visual and audible alarm by downloading the software from the link below. An integrated relay output allows connection to an external alarm or the vessel's engine switch. The relay can be programmed to activate when required.
