The RescueME PLB1 emergency transmitter operates under the only global rescue network (Cospas-Sarsat), and sending an emergency message is free.
When the rescueME PLB1 is activated, it transmits the user's location and personal identification number (ID) to the rescue center via a satellite link. The rescue center then forwards the request for help and location to the nearest rescue authority for rapid assistance on site.
