Personal emergency transmitter for sea, land or air. Wherever you are, the world's smallest personal emergency transmitter allows you to quickly call for help at the touch of a button. The device can be operated with one hand, and the emergency button is protected by an easy-to-open flap. The device comes with a 7-year warranty and 7-year battery life. The RescueME PLB1 emergency transmitter operates under the only global rescue network (Cospas-Sarsat), and sending an emergency message is free.
When the rescueME PLB1 is activated, it transmits the user's location and personal identification number (ID) to the rescue center via a satellite link. The rescue center then forwards the request for help and location to the nearest rescue authority for rapid assistance on site.
The device requires programming before use (included in the price).
Apply for a personal PLB permit from Traficom's website here , and provide the identification number from page 2 of the permit notification in the message field when ordering.

The MOB+ wireless emergency extinguishing system is designed specifically for boaters. The system consists of an xHUB hub that can be easily installed on the boat and an xFOB transmitter. The xFOB weighs only 10 g and is 4.4 cm long, so it can be carried in an xTAG neck mount, an xBAND bracelet, a life jacket or just in a pocket. The devices communicate with each other wirelessly. The xFOB can be used by up to six passengers at the same time.
When you enter the boat, turn on the device with a single press of a button (WIMEA allows freedom of movement 5-10 m from the boat). If a passenger falls overboard while on the water, xHUB will alert you and turn off the engine. After 6 seconds, the engine can be restarted and the person who fell from the boat can be picked up. When leaving the boat, the connection is turned off.
The xHUB connects to the boat's battery system (12 - 24V) and engine stop system. The xFOB has a battery life of over 300 hours. The system is easy to use thanks to the one-touch user interface.

The test winner, Ocean Signal RescueMe PLB3 , is a personal satellite emergency beacon that also transmits a Man Overboard alert via the AIS system. When the beacon is activated, nearby vessels (with AIS) will see the beacon's location on their navigation display and are legally obliged to come to your aid. PLB stands for Personal Locator Beacon.
AIS has a limited range , especially when transmitting from the surface of the water, which is why this distress beacon also uses a satellite connection. When the distress beacon is activated, it also sends a distress signal via the Cospas-Sarsat system, which is a SAR (search and rescue) system. Before sending a distress signal, the satellites determine the location of the person in distress. The distress signal can be received by both satellites and ground stations with a precise location. The distress signal can be transmitted to rescue stations in over 200 countries. The distress beacon also has an RLS (Return Link Service) which provides confirmation that the distress signal has been received. This system is completely free to use and does not require a subscription, but the device must be registered.
Combining both local and global rescue capabilities for maximum safety, this emergency transmitter is a significant step forward in personal emergency transmitters. It is also NFC-compatible and can be paired with a smartphone. Other
