GX1400E DSC VHF radiotelephone
The fixed-mount 25W GX1400GPS/E VHF makes sending a distress call (DSC) very easy and fast. The device has a built-in 66-channel GPS receiver (mandatory in the EU for new devices from 2019), so it can be installed as a standalone device and does not need to be networked or requires a separate GPS antenna. The GX1400GPS/E device shares the DSC call and position, making it quick and easy to pinpoint your location.
High resolution display with improved backlighting for clearer digits. The operating system is very easy to use, and DSC calls and DSC programming/reprogramming are easier than previous devices.
ITU-R M493-13 Class D Digital Selective Calling
The GX1400 Eclipse is an ITU-R M493-13 Class D VHF with a separate 70-channel receiver that allows you to receive DSC calls while another channel is in use. The DSC DISTRESS function, when enabled, transmits a digital MAYDAY call containing vessel information, position (latitude/longitude) and time, which speeds up the response time of the receiver. Additional calls that can be made are personal, urgency, safety, position report and transmit.
