Suzuki DF100CTL EFI Outboard Motor

The all-new Suzuki DF100 offers the discerning boater and fisherman incredible acceleration combined with unprecedented economy in a compact and lightweight package. The engine is based on four in-line cylinders with a total displacement of 1950 cm³. Numerous design and engineering insights limit the size and weight of the engine, while making it particularly capable – without forgetting its elegance.

Thanks to the angle gear between the engine and transmission shaft, the engine allows for proper balancing of the transom weight distribution, thus ensuring an optimal center of gravity and reducing the size of the outboard motor.

The engine has two camshafts, four valves per cylinder with chain drive and a hydraulic tensioner. All transmission components are oil lubricated, ensuring component durability. The transmission system between the engine and transmission shaft allows the size of the camshaft gears to be reduced, resulting in reduced valve angles and engine size.

The gear ratio is 2.59:1. This allows the engine to use propellers with large diameters and pitches, achieving excellent acceleration and top speed.

The DF100 model features a digital Multipoint intermittent fuel injection (EFI) system, controlled by a control unit with a 32-bit processor. The digital control unit monitors the current conditions by constantly monitoring the engine sensors. This ensures that your engine always has the best possible performance, economy and optimum fuel-air ratio.

The engine also features a modern intake manifold and a 4-2-1 exhaust system. The intake manifold improves performance and torque, especially in the mid-range. The exhaust system, in turn, significantly reduces engine noise levels while increasing power.

The digital ignition system, controlled by the control unit, ensures perfect ignition in all conditions. The engine's vibration and noise levels have been minimized at all carburetor operating levels by using a large-sized silencer.
