Long-stroke 30hp outboard motor
Suzuki's new DF30 outboards are lightweight, compact and reliable. Suzuki's mid-sized outboards incorporate leading-edge technology from its large outboards, making them easy to handle and effortless to use. The biggest testament to this technological advancement is the battery-less fuel injection system and Suzuki Lean Burn management system.
Suzuki fuel injection system and Lean Burn management system
Suzuki was the first to develop electronically controlled multi-point fuel injection for four-stroke outboards. This technology is used in everything from 9.9hp outboards to 300hp outboards. The fuel injection system provides quick and easy starting. Suzuki Lean Burn Management System is an intelligent system that monitors engine operation and operating conditions to predict fuel demand, allowing the engine to run on a leaner fuel mixture. The system significantly improves fuel economy throughout the engine's operating range. The system provides boaters with top-notch fuel economy and low emissions at all engine speeds.
Easy Start pull start
The fuel injection system makes starting easier, and Suzuki has also equipped the engine with a lightweight pull starter that requires less pulling force. The starter makes it exceptionally easy and quick for almost anyone to start the engine.
Direct intake duct and engine cover ventilation
The new engine cowling directs a smoother and cooler airflow directly into the intake duct, improving engine efficiency. Together with a new air cleaner, the small-displacement engine delivers even greater power. A rotating flywheel improves the ventilation of hot air away from the recoil starter cover, intake duct and engine, reducing the temperature inside the engine cowling.
Offset crankshaft (DF25/30)
In the new Suzuki DF25 and DF30 outboards, the crankshaft is positioned slightly to the side of the cylinder centerline, which reduces the lateral pressure on the cylinder wall as the piston moves back and forth within the cylinder. The result is smoother piston movement, which improves efficiency.
Roller rocker arms (DF25/30)
The new DF25A and DF30A outboards are the only outboards in their class to feature roller rocker arms on both the intake and exhaust valves. The rocker arm sliding surfaces feature rollers with internal bearings. The roller converts the traditional sliding contact between the camshaft and rocker arm to roller contact, reducing friction losses in rocker arm operation.
Suzuki anti-corrosion finish
Salt and fresh water are a challenge for engines, so Suzuki protects the machines with an innovative anti-corrosion finish. Epoxy paint is applied directly to the aluminum to ensure maximum adhesion. This is then topped with a black metallic paint and a clear acrylic resin varnish.
