Suzuki's new generation of 4-stroke outboards changes the way we think about power, lightness and fuel efficiency. The DF70, DF80 and DF90 models feature many of the innovative improvements that Suzuki has pioneered over the past decade.
The new, improved DF70 model features a digital, intermittent injection system, a final drive ratio of 2.59:1 and an automatically adjusting camshaft drive that requires no maintenance.
The modern 4T engine features an impressive driveshaft system, which, together with the modern engine block, makes the new generation of outboard motors a class smaller and lighter.
The compact design of this outboard marvel makes it an ideal solution for a wide variety of boats and needs.
In a class of its own on the water
The new generation Suzukis surprise with their efficiency, economy and comfort. Here are a few reasons why:
- New engine block, smaller size, dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder.
- Size and weight reduction thanks to redesigned parts.
- Significant reduction in engine size with a driveshaft system – the center of gravity has moved forward and the weight is better distributed over the transom.
- New oil pump that ensures better mechanical efficiency and reduces internal engine friction.
- Innovative “Lean Burn Control System” designed to operate with a leaner air-fuel ratio and always adapt fuel consumption to the prevailing conditions.
- Intermittent digital Multipoint injection system that improves fuel economy and keeps emissions low.
- The forward-positioned drive shaft and two-stage reduction gear system also reduce the size and weight of the engine. The engines have a high gear ratio, which allows the use of propellers with larger diameters and pitches.
- A transmission control system that works with a sensor installed in the system, improving performance and shifting accuracy and speed.
- Easy Start system – simply turn the ignition key to the start position.
- New tip-limiting system.
- Two water inlets for engine flushing.
- All engine parts have a special, anti-corrosion surface treatment.
- Larger storage space inside the transom thanks to innovative and ergonomic design.
