The new, improved DF90 model features a digital, intermittent injection system, a final drive ratio of 2.59:1 and an automatically adjusting camshaft drive that requires no maintenance.
The modern 4T engine features an impressive driveshaft system, which, together with the modern engine block, makes the new generation of outboard motors a class smaller and lighter.

- Size and weight reduction thanks to redesigned parts.
- Significant reduction in engine size with a driveshaft system – the center of gravity has moved forward and the weight is better distributed over the transom.
- New oil pump that ensures better mechanical efficiency and reduces internal engine friction.
- Innovative “Lean Burn Control System” designed to operate with a leaner air-fuel ratio and always adapt fuel consumption to the prevailing conditions.
