Tohatsu anode 3H6-60218-0

Genuine Tohatsu protective anode, which is installed on the engine mount or gearbox housing depending on the engine model. The anode protects the outboard motor from galvanic corrosion by corroding instead of the engine parts to be protected.

The condition of protective anodes should be checked regularly and they should be replaced in good time. As a general rule of thumb, an anode should be replaced when approximately half of its material has corroded.
