Tohatsu trim fin anode 3KZ-60217-0

Genuine Tohatsu trim tab that also functions as a protective anode for Tohatsu MFS40A, MFS50A and MFS60A outboard motors. The protective anode helps protect the engine's metal parts from galvanic corrosion.

The protective anode is made of a baser metal than the engine parts, so it corrodes instead of the parts it is protecting. It is a good idea to check the condition of the anode regularly and replace it when about half of its material has corroded.
