Tohatsu trim fin anode 3V1-60217-0

Genuine Tohatsu trim fin that also functions as a protective anode in many Tohatsu outboard motors. The protective anode helps protect the engine's metal parts from galvanic corrosion.

The protective anode is made of a baser metal than the engine parts, so it corrodes instead of the parts it is protecting. It is a good idea to check the condition of the anode regularly and replace it when about half of its material has corroded.
