Vetus Water Trap NLP45HD

The Heavy Duty water trap/silencer is a two-stage design with two expansion chambers separated by a horizontal wall and a riser in the middle. Compared to single-stage water traps (which have only one expansion chamber), the NLP water trap has significantly better sound insulation. The upper chamber can be rotated approximately 300°, and both the inlet and outlet connections can be rotated 360°. This makes it easier to install the water trap in what is usually a confined engine compartment.
The movable inlet connection is connected to the engine exhaust flap by an exhaust pipe. The exhaust gases, mixed with the cooling water, are pushed from the lower chamber through a pipe rising to the upper chamber and out of the movable upper connection, which in turn is connected to the exhaust outlet by an exhaust hose. A sound separator and a gooseneck are also installed to achieve the best sound insulation.
