Vetus zinc anode Saildrive SP60

Zinc anode for Vetus SP60 Sea Prop 60 Saildrive sailboat propulsion system. The protective anode helps protect the metal parts of the propulsion system from galvanic corrosion.

The protective anode is made of a base metal, so it corrodes instead of the parts it is intended to protect. It is a good idea to check the condition of the anode regularly and replace it in a timely manner. As a general rule of thumb, the anode should be replaced when about half of its material has corroded.
