Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking (MPPT)
Especially in cloudy weather, when light intensity is constantly changing, a very fast MPPT controller can improve energy use by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Output power
Excessive battery discharge can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load socket. The load connector disconnects the load when the battery has discharged to a preset voltage. Alternatively, an intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected: Reference to battery life.
The load connection is short-circuit protected.
Some loads (especially inverters) are best connected directly to the battery and the inverter remote control is connected to the load socket. A special connection cable may be required, see the user manual.
Battery life: Intelligent battery management
When the solar charge controller is not sufficient to charge the battery to full capacity in a day, the result is that the battery constantly cycles from a "partially charged" state to a fully discharged state. This behavior (no regular full charging) will destroy a lead acid battery over weeks or months.
The battery life algorithm monitors the battery's charge status and increases the load shedding level (i.e., cut the load earlier) each day if necessary until the available solar energy is sufficient to fully charge the battery to 100%. From then on, the load level is modulated so that a near 100% charge is reached approximately once a week.

FET isolators, like diode isolators, allow two or more batteries to be charged simultaneously from a generator without connecting the batteries together. Unlike diode battery isolators, FET isolators have virtually no voltage drop. The voltage drop is less than 0.02 volts at low currents and an average of 0.1 volts at higher currents.

When using the ARGO FET battery isolator, there is no need to increase the generator output voltage. Example: When a current of 100 A flows through a cable with a cross-section of 50 mm² (AWG 0) and a length of 10 meters, the voltage drop in the cable is 0.26 volts. Similarly, a current of 50 A through a cable with a cross-section of 10 mm² (AWG 7) and a length of 5 meters results in a voltage drop of 0.35 volts.
Some generators require DC voltage on the B+ output to start charging. Of course, DC is present when the generator is connected directly to the battery. However, placing a diode or FET divider will prevent the return voltage/current from the batteries to B+ and the generator will start. The new Argofet isolators have a special current limiting charging input that supplies power to B+ when the engine clutch is off.

SmartShunt is a versatile battery monitor that doesn't have its own display, as your phone acts as the display. SmartShunt connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App installed on your phone (or tablet). You can conveniently read all the variables you want to monitor, such as battery charge status, available charge (time remaining at current power consumption), historical data and much more.
Alternatively, you can connect the SmartShunt to the GX device and read the data on its display. The connection between the SmartShunt and the GX device is made using the VE.Direct cable.

Smart Battery Sense is a wireless battery voltage and temperature sensor for Victron MPPT solar chargers. When installed, the voltage and temperature sensor will charge batteries better, improve charging efficiency and extend battery life.
Improves battery charging
By measuring the voltage at the battery bank terminals, you can avoid errors caused by voltage drop due to cable resistance and thus ensure the correct charging voltage.
For lead-acid batteries, battery temperature information is used to adjust the charging voltage: cold batteries require a higher charging voltage and warm batteries a lower charging voltage. For lithium batteries, battery temperature information is used to stop charging when they are too cold. Charging a lithium battery at or below freezing can permanently damage the cells.
Bluetooth
The connection between Smart Battery Sense and one or more solar chargers is wireless: It uses VE.Smart Network - a wireless technology based on Bluetooth Smart.
The transmitted data can be used simultaneously by one, two or more solar chargers connected to the same 12V, 24V or 48V battery bank. The Smart Network is configured using the VictronConnect app.

The Cyrix battery combiner is a relay that connects two battery banks in parallel when one battery is being charged. The Cyrix detects when the voltage rises, indicating that charging current is present, and connects the batteries. It also isolates the batteries when the voltage drops. The Cyrix is ??microprocessor controlled and also takes into account the voltage trend before connecting/isolating. 13-13.8V is required for connection and 11-12.8V for isolation, depending on the voltage development.
Cyrix ensures that all batteries are charged when, for example, the generator is running and also ensures that you do not disconnect the starter battery when there is no charging current. If the starter battery has been disconnected for some other reason, it is possible to connect all batteries for jump starting.
This relay does not cause voltage drop and is an excellent alternative to diode isolators.
