The Victron Energy VE.Direct cable is designed to connect Victron devices with a VE.Direct connection. The cable has a straight connector at both ends, allowing for a clear and easy installation.

Remote monitoring and control - built-in Bluetooth

You can remotely monitor and control the Smart Solar MPPT charger's various functions by connecting via Bluetooth and pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) online service, you will have full access to the MPPT's features anytime, anywhere, and both services are free. In the case of a remote installation - even when there is no internet connection or phone signal nearby - you may be able to monitor the MPPT by pairing it via Bluetooth with a LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) device, which is available as an accessory.

The smart load output function prevents damage caused by battery discharge. You can set the voltage level at which Smart Solar disconnects the load and thus prevents unnecessary battery discharge. And here comes the smart part: Smart Solar tries to reach 100% charge every day. If that is not possible - during bad weather - the device increases the cut-off voltage daily until it succeeds. We call this function BatteryLife because it maintains the health of the battery and extends its service life.

This Victron adapter cable allows you to transfer data from all your Victron devices to the NMEA2000 system. Via NMEA2000, all data is available for display on a chartplotter or other displays that support the NMEA2000 protocol. All Victron devices with a VE.Can output can be connected directly to the NMEA2000 network using this cable.

The VE. Direct Bluetooth Smart adapter allows you to view your BMV or MPPT data on your iOS or Android devices using the Victron Connect app. Wirelessly displays information such as battery status and solar panel strength, as well as other useful information.

Smart Battery Sense is a wireless battery voltage and temperature sensor for Victron MPPT solar chargers. When installed, the voltage and temperature sensor will charge batteries better, improve charging efficiency and extend battery life.

Improves battery charging
By measuring the voltage at the battery bank terminals, you can avoid errors caused by voltage drop due to cable resistance and thus ensure the correct charging voltage.

For lead-acid batteries, battery temperature information is used to adjust the charging voltage: cold batteries require a higher charging voltage and warm batteries a lower charging voltage. For lithium batteries, battery temperature information is used to stop charging when they are too cold. Charging a lithium battery at or below freezing can permanently damage the cells.

Bluetooth
The connection between Smart Battery Sense and one or more solar chargers is wireless: It uses VE.Smart Network - a wireless technology based on Bluetooth Smart.
The transmitted data can be used simultaneously by one, two or more solar chargers connected to the same 12V, 24V or 48V battery bank. The Smart Network is configured using the VictronConnect app.

Installation is simple, quick and clean. Simply connect the two loops of the device to the battery terminals and attach the Smart Battery Sense device directly to the battery with the Velcro.
